January review

I had a pretty good month...which means that I wasn't injured or arrested. Not that I was ever arrested but I found this sentence and I like it, lol. Oh well and I was injured so I think it was absolutely pointless to quote that. Never mind.

January was a record month regarding the volume I managed to put in. Finally I played more than 3k games (about 3700) and that feels good. I would've been happy to make a little bit more money, but since I was playing mainly $2.5 180s I can be kinda satisfied with the $1.9k I made at the tables (especially that I had a 2.2k games breakeven run). Cannot provide my graph because I blocked my sharkscope.

I won some money with that prop bet as well but I bought lots of shares on 2+2 and I lost about $500 there so that went poorly. I really have to think about those shares because it seems fine to buy them and earn money but hey, those are mainly MTT packages and there's variance even if it's not you who's playing,hehe. Not gonna give up this though, but I'm definitely gonna be much more choosy.

To be honest I could've played more though and I'm sorry I didn't. I played almost 2.7k sngs in 10 days because of the prop bet so it seems I was really lazy in the remaining 20 days. That sucks.

That's all I can write about January.

Just a short list for February plans, since I'm watching the Arsenal match now:

At least 2.5k games
At least $1.5k profit
Start running 3 times a week (lol, no chance to do this)
Go back to school, take it a bit more seriously than before
Start reading PLO articles
Study my 180s game at least 15 hours
Take care of myself, no more injuries pls

Volume and profit numbers went down for this month but it's gonna be hard even this way because we're going with my father to have a holiday. LOL. Funny, winter and holiday, can't really imagine how this goes. Probably this gonna be a week of drinking. My mother cannot go, so I'm the chosen one. To be very honest I'd rather skip that one, but I don't want to hurt his feelings... Oh well, at least I'm gonna have some time to analyse my game and start reading some PLO stuff (and it's fun to drink with my father, so I guess it's not gonna be bad)...

As for PLO, I decided again that I'm gonna learn that game even tho variance sucks.... hopefully this attemt not gonna end like the previous ones.

Oh well, and I have a lot of things to think about lately, we'll see what happens.

About the prop bet

As most of you might know I was doing a prop bet in the last 10 days. I had to play 2500 $2.5 180man sngs and win at least $1k.

I planned a daily schedule before the prop bet started. It was great because I could've done everything that's important (like eating well and excercising a little bit every day) but obviously I couldn't do that. My original plan was to go to bed at 2AM every day.

This was so successful that my friends came the day before the prop bet started and we were drinking till 5AM. Oh well, they were drinking till about 11AM but I was strong and went to sleep at 5AM, haha. Not a good start. At least I didn't drink anything stronger than beer, so I'm kinda proud of myself.

First day went really well even though I was extremely tired after the previous night. Too well I guess because after that I couldn't win anything in the following 7 days. My sessions were absolutely frustrating and it was hard to stay motivated.

Actually, I didn't really care about that bad run in the first few days but after the 5th,6th,7th day of the bet it was hard to believe I can still do it.Fortunately lots of friends (including SNGProtege members of course) were trying to motivate me and told me I can do it and they were succesful.

After day 8 I had only $199 profit so I literally gave it up mentally but I thought there are only 2 days left so I'll try to give it a chance and didn't stop.
Also, I asked some guys about there opinion whether I should try 30tabling to put in more volume or just continue playing on 20 tables and hope for the best.Then I mixed their opinions and decided to start 18-19 tables then stopped registering when I had deep runs.
Entim told me I should play less tables and concentrate more on my game, so I think I did that even though not exactly as he suggested it.

Pedros webinar was really helpful as well. One sentence that kept me focused:

"If you stop, nothing's gonna change."

I really love this thought. I didn't stop and I managed to hit a great upswing in the last two days so I managed to complete the challange and win the bet. I'm really happy I didn't give it up. Thank you guys for keeping me alive,hehe.Some pics:

2012 plans

I tried to find my plans for 2011 but there was only a really short post about that which included:

Reach supernova.
Grind sngs on ipoker because there are cool rake races

Guess what! I wasn't even close to supernova and I played about 10 sng-s on ipoker, so I guess these goals were kinda ridiculos. As for supernova, I could've made it but I was too lazy, often lost my motivation and I couldn't really play a lot during summer since I had offline stuff to handle.

I started the year grinding 18man sngs, but I stopped playing them because I was crused on $15s. Grinding only $7s didn't seem like a very great idea. I could've analyse my game a lot more to be very honest but losing my motivation didn't really help. I wanted to post some graphs from 2011 but I reset my stats on sharkscope. Yes I wanted to reset my statistics, but I thought I was gonna write this blog post earlier. Now I'm not going to remove reset because I wanna grind for a nice 2012 graph,lolz.

Then I decided to grind 180mans instead of 18s. Oh well, it seems I can make some money in these games, but it would be crucial to grind more.

I was thinking about getting a stake for 2012 as well since my bankroll is now crap again but to be honest I don't really know what's gonna happen since poker is now "regulated" in Hungary but nothing changed at all so far, and it would be really awkward if something would happen like BF and my staker had to see his money stuck in my account so I decided to play on my own. Still nice to grind micro limit sngs,hehe.

By the way, I wanted to write a lot about my 2012 plans, but now I don't wanna do that anymore. I opened a goal thread on 2+2 anyways, I wrote about it more there. If you're interested you can follow my progress there:

I'm not happy with the start of the year to be honest. It took about 15 minutes to crush myself again in the new year. I would like to share the details of it, but I cannot remember. I forgot everything. Really.

Oh well, I should drink less. Alcohol doesn't really like me I guess.

Oh well, where to start it. I wanted to write this for a while but after started typing I always deleted/stopped because...let's say the truth I guess...I'm lazy.
But now I cannot really do anything because HEM is importing hands and my laptop is kinda slow because of it, so...I think I'm gonna do it now...hopefully.

As for HEM. Finally. I was playing without HUD for about a month because I simply couldn't open HEM. Then I asked help from the support but they haven't answered my question for more than a week, so I decided I won't give a fuck about it and downloaded PT3 (since I was using it years ago, so I had a license for it too).

It sucked. Was unbelievably slow, and I couldn't handle that it stopped working at least 3 times during every session. So today I purchased HEM2. Without testing it. Standard, but I hope there won't be any problems. Bigniux said it's cool, and I trust him, so I hope he was right. I can't wait seeing stats at the tables again. Kinda miss them since I was playing with HUD for about 4 years now.

As for playing, I'm not running really well since I finished my contract with SNGProtege. I won about $160 in more than 1k 180mans, used my FPPs for Sunday Storm satellites (oh well, that was cool, I think I was running above EV in those only) and had a horrible Sunday MTT session (well, not that horrible because I didn't play tons of MTTs, and I sold 60% of myself, so in $ way it wasn't that bad, but it's really frustrating to play MTT-s for hours for ~~nothing~~ losing some money. Btw, for some reason I still have about $6-700 more on my account since I'm playing from my own money so that's not that bad, even though I'm not really sure when I won that money. Let it be the biggest problem.

Anyways, I was reading "Winning poker tournaments" again today/yesterday/whatever, and I realized I'm playing like a robot when it comes to early games. I could say it's not that a big problem but actually it is. I mean I'm making my standard moves and that wouldn't be a big problem, but in fact it becomes a big problem if my standard moves are bad. I'm watching the board, making a "standard cbet", moving on. Sometimes I'm not even watching stack sizes, positions, etc. It sucks, I gotta stop it. This book is great when it comes to thinking about postflop imo, so I should read it again, and think about hands a bit more.

Here we go, now I'm gonna write about my plans for these couple of days we only have in the year. I'm going back home from Budapest on Monday, where I can't play optimally because a lot of reasons. Internet sucks, my parents kinda like me to have a normal lifestyle therefore I cannot sleep till 2-3PM, etcetc. So I'll have a lot of time for analysing my game a little bit, reading this book, finding my mistakes and thinking about how to fix them.

To be honest I can't wait doing this stuff because it's really important, and I feel I need a little brake now. I was playing much more in the last 3 month than before, which is definitely great but I need some time to improve my game a bit and obviously to get back my motivation again.

That doesn't mean I'm not gonna play at all, I think there will be some days when I'll feel I gotta win some 180mans,lolz.

In the weekend I'm still playing, not sure about Saturday but definitely playing on Sunday. I should make some money finally, because Sundays weren't too kind lately. That's all for now.

I finished my contract with SNGProtege yesterday. Sigh it was a long journey but I can say joining totally worth it.

I started my contract with entim, who coached me for 18mans. I learnt a lot from him and I'm using a lot of things on 180mans as well. He tried to teach how to crush those games but then we just couldn't have enough coaching sessions and I slowly got sick of 18mans,lol.

I switched back to 180mans...entim was still my coach but he was kinda busy, and I wasn't motivated enough, furthermore I had offline problems so I rarely played during summer. Then entim left SNGProtege because he didn't have enough time for coaching and my new coach was Glitlr. It was official on 7.August.

After this I had coaching in every week and though I had really bad times mentally, Matt could also find the words that brought back my motivation. My favourite:

"Work hard, win harder. Never stop, never get down on yourself, always keep your motivation high and your hunger higher."

I've learnt a lot of things here and I'm really grateful for everything. Ugh guys I wanted to write a lot more but I totally forgot those things....

Finally this moth is gone. I'm not sure I can write a positive review since I managed to book the biggest losing day in my last session, wee.

I was playing almost only 180mans during November which is cool because I promised myself that I won't burn more money on MTTs. I played only 3 MTTs and actually I ended up in the green, lol (won something like $20 or so).

November was really weird. I had an unbelievable upsing at the 2.5s and that's all on the positive side poker wise. I was about break even at the 8s and I lost a lot of money on 3r-s. Fuck.

Nice hourly,huh? Another stuff... I'm using PT3 again instead of HEM. The reason is that HEM simply wasn't willing to run and though I emailed support to help me they didn't answer for a week or so. Thank you, I really appreciate your help. Now I'm gonna use PT3 till the next Windows reinstall.

Had some great days as well in November of course. These were the days when I wasn't playing poker. I had a great birthday celebration with my poker buddy and his friends (the one when I kinda fucked my face, I wrote about it before).
Then one more with my "non-poker" friends....
Then one more home with my family.... To be honest I was celebrating birthdays for about 10 days or more. But it happens, right?

The greatest thing is Selena's new music video for sure. Lol, enjoy the little things. Love it.

And my most wanted movie came out as well. Was kinda weird because if it had ended 30 seconds sooner, I would have killed someone in the cinema for sure.

It was interesting because I came back to Bp and immidiately called one of my friends (yes a girl, men usually don't like Twilight, I'm the exception) to come with me. She said:
-I watched it yesterday.
-So what? You're gonna watch it today as well.
-But I watched it yesterday, why the fuck would I watch it again?
-Because I wanna watch it and you'll come with me.

It wasn't easy but I won so I didn't have to watch it alone... :) Only problem was that I couldn't drink beer in the cinema because they ran out of it. Idiots. I had to drink some crap alcoholic stuff, yuk. That was really crappy.

Okay that's all for now, don't really know what else should I write about yet. I'm gonna write again soon since I'm finishing my SNGProtege contract in a few days.

Getting better

Everything seems to be get better lately. My head is almost recovered, and I'm finally in the green again! This whole month is very interesting though. I won more than 1k on the $2.5 180mans and I'm up about $600 total. Nice to run good on the lowest possible stakes I'm playing haha. It's funny because I was in the red in the whole month so far and when I drank a bottle of wine during session I managed to win some money finally. Does it mean I have to drink all the time when I'm playing? Don't think so.

Anyways, I have a new avatar: Gluck gluck! Thanks for abarone for that,lolz. I won more than 1k since I have this awesome chicken:

Abarone is awesome to be honest. His results and blog is so inspiring to me. Check out his blog if you didn't do so far.
Lately this is my favorite blog because I can see there that it worth grinding even though there are really hard periods.

Off the tables.... At the weekend I was home celebrating birthdays with family. That was cool obviously. It's always great to be with my sisters, parents, relatives. We were drinking a lot with my father again just as usual. Nothing special, but I like these nothing special things while I'm home.

Oh, next month I'm going to Praha with my friend... not sure yet whether I'm gonna play or not. Probably I'm gonna visit some pubs instead of playing horribly boring live poker... Also, I think it's not a good idea to spend money at the tables when you can drink instead. We'll see.

Hard to give a title sometimes

I could give a great title tho: "running horrible". But I don't really mean it poker wise now. I think I'd better start at the beginning of the story.

Last Friday I went to my friend. It was a pre planned trip because we wanted to celebrate his, her girlfriends and my birthday as well but originally I wanted to go on Saturday. I went on Friday because we wanted to surprise his girlfriend,lol. It would have been funny but I couldn't arrive in time because there were a horrible traffic jam in Budapest and I also got lost in their city as well, haha.

Friday was kinda fun, we were drinking of course. Same for Saturday but it wasn't the same because it was the day we went to some pubs etc. The problem occured when we were in the third pub and my friends girlfriend (I'm gonna call her "basszony" from now because it's much more easier,lol) wanted to go home or something (honestly I can't remember at all) and my friend went outside after her.... I thought I'm gonna join because I didn't really know what their problem is.

When finally I managed to catch they up they were argueing about something (yeah I know there are a lot of stuff that I cannot remember but you know how alcohol works) and my friend was kinda angry because he thought "basszony" wants to break up with him. Again, I cannot remember the whole story but I remember that my friend decided to go back to the pub, "basszony" decided to go home.
I didn't really want them to leave each other this way so I ran after my friend to tell him to come back to discuss their problem.

It wasn't a very good idea to be honest. Firstly, I shouldn't have given a fuck because my friend was drunk as well so I should have known he's overreacting something. Secondly, it's a horrible idea to run when you're drunk.
The way I had a fall was really funny tho. Not the usual "I'm drunk so I fall", no. I was running and my jeans slipped off. What are the odds? haha. I guess it was more likely than usually because I didn't wear a belt though.

Obviously when you're drunk it's hard to save your head, so it's kinda fucked up right now, but at least my project was succesful. (Even though it was so unnecessary) Then they had me on because I didn't want to go to the hospital, so they told me we were going to another pub... no, we went to the hospital, fuck. At least I told them about 100 times that they are "stupid idiots". Well...me too I guess. Next time I won't give a fuck, I promise (too bad I cannot do that, fml).

Then I wanted to come back on Sunday originally but I realized I'm not too well so I stayed one more day and drank beer all the day. It was fun....at least for me, I guess it wasn't that much fun for my friends too,lol.

As for poker, I can't really play long sessions since there are several times a day when I feel horrible. My head hurts, my eyes are bunged up, so it's hard... and obviously my motivation is not great either because I played more than 1k games in November and I'm down more than $500. It was worth,lolz.

Going home tomorrow, we're celebrating my sisters and my birthday with my family (I'm gonna look well on our birthday pictures :D).

Last time I could write about my great finish of October, now I can write about the horrible start of November. Okay, I expected to have a downswing after winning 3k in 2 days but as you know it still feels bad. In October I was wondering about why can I always win tons at the beginnin

g of the months and then lose it all/break even in the following days/weeks/hundreds (thousands) of games.Well I can be happy because I realized there's no tendency and now I cannot lose my early winnings in the month because I'm down almost $800 over about 300 games I've already played in Nov.

Still, I think it was better to think about why am I losing my profit from the first 2 days of the month than reading:"You do not have enough money to register for this tournament. Please visit Cashier to deposit additional funds."

This happened in both of my sessions since I'm backed and I don't have tons of money on my account at the begginning of months, since I transfer, cashout etc . This message is really frustrating, that's all I can tell about that. Yeah I could earn some money till the end of the running games but geez, it's not easy to start another session and stay calm.

It's like... you wanna fuck a hooker and ask her about the price. She tells you she's willing to do anything for $100. Oh, my God, I only have $50, wait a minute! Then you go to your friend and ask him to lend you some money because you don't have enough now but you're gonna pay it back tomorrow. He starts to yell on you because it's the third time in a week you're asking money but finally he gives you that fucking $50.

Now you have enough money but you don't wanna fuck that girl anymore. Lol.No, this story never happend to me before, just an example. :D

I had a funny story with a hooker before though. My friend told me that because I was so drunk that I forgot it. We went out to party (you know, dance, drinks, etc). Usually I don't like wasting my time with dancing. I hate it, I cannot dance. I always think it's going to be better if I drink. Sometimes I can drink enough to feel I actually can dance but that's really rare. Instead of dancing I usually drink more.

That's how it happened.We were going home and a hooker came to us I asked whether we "wanna fuck" or not. Oh girl, so fucking bad timing. The only time when a man don't want to do it is when he cannot do it. And seriously, it's not so easy when you're drunk like:

No it's not me either. Lol. Never mind, I'm a bit distracted. Maybe I should take off a day and drink. Really miss drinking a lot with my friends, haha.

Hey everyone!

I'm watching Chelsea-Arsenal right now and thought I should write a blog post now because I'm not sure whether I'm gonna be lazy later to do it or not. Probably yes. This match is not going to be funny, Chelsea needed about 1,5 minutes to find a great chance to score. Fortunately they missed it. I guess Arsenal is going to book a gigant loss today.

As for poker, I cannot play 3k games in Octorber. I wasn't able to play the that much. To be honest I could have done it if I wasn't using skype and mozilla during sessions. I should stop doing that because I cannot play 20 tables if I'm continuing to use these distracting programmes. That's all on the bad side.

I'm still happy though because finally I could make some money in 180 mans. I still run like a snail in $15s but that can happen, especially because I'm not playing tons of $15s. I played only 68 in October which is kind of a lol sample but also, I didn't really want to play tons of them because variance is huge and I'd be totally down mentally if I lost 1.5-2k on those games. The funny thing is that I still lost almost $600 playing these, sigh.

But finally, yeah finally I could win some 3 rebuys and $2s lately so I made some money in the last few days. Here's my graph from October (so far. I'm not sure how much more I'm gonna play but I probably will).

The funniest thing is that I wanted to stop playing a few days ago because I was breakeven over about 1.5k games and I thought there are huge mistakes in my game. I wanted to spend the rest of the month by analysing my game, fixing leaks, etc. Then I had a talk with Matt, I'm going to copy that:

As for variance, that's crazy to be honest. I checked a lot of great regulars and I finally realized it's absolutely standard to be breakeven (or even losing money) over 2-2.5k games. I don't really know how to be confident when you're running bad over thousands of games. I'll have to find out something to handle these swings. Not looking at results could work probably but I cannot do it since I have to book my results every day because of my contract. And also, it wouldn't be nice if I got a message that I cannot register to a $2.5 tournament because I don't have enough funds, lol. Any ideas? How do you guys handle variance? Probably drinking is going to be the only solution.

Other poker stuff:
It is official! I'm a mazochist. I've started to learn PLO. Yeah I like low variance games, lolz. I'm a huge whale in that game. To be honest I don't even know where to start learning but my friend (who is one of the best PLO players in Hungary even though he doesn't believe it because he has a very long break even strech) is helping me so I think it's not going to be hard to improve. Already watched some videos, this game is crazy. That's all I can say about it yet.

And had some other nice results as well, so I won $1285.

October so far

Hey!

I have tried to write this post so many times I cannot even remember, but I always was too lazy to finish it. Maybe now I'll be motivated enough not to stop again. Who knows? We'll see.

So October... this is a tough month. My plan was/is to play 3k 180 mans in this month and all I can say is that it's rediciously fucking hard for me. I'm playing only 15-16(-18-20) tables usually and it takes a lot of time even to be close to my plan.
I've never played 3k sngs in a month before so I cannot say I'm a true grinder, lol.

Another problem is that I cannot win as much as I wanted. I won about 1k on the first 2 days and since then I played about 1500 games....and won about -$100 or so. This obviously wasn't good for my motivation. I'm taking a break now for the weekend, and I'm sure I'll be really motivated again when I get back to the tables.

There are good things as well tho. We've spotted one of my leaks at our first coaching with Matt, and since I'm not playing for a few days I can analyse some of those spots. Also, I'm working a bit on my shoving ranges because sometimes I feel I'm shoving too wide, and sometimes I might be a bit tight.
Haha, this game is a bit hard.

Anyways, I was playing some CAP cash games on PS. What can I say? Those games are awesome and horrible at the same time. There are a lot of bad players (I'm talking about 0.25/.50) but it's so annoying when you lose 6-7 races in a row. I'm not sure whether I'll continue playing those or just stop them and be kind for my nerves.

Finally, I read some PLO articles and watched a video about that. OMG, this game is so crazy. I think it's a great possibility to earn some money but still, I cannot force myself to learn more about it because swings are maybe even crazier than in 180s. Yeah, I'm serious. Lol. I think I'm gonna learn more stuff about it when I'm in a mood, but I won't play this for a while yet...I'm a huge fish at PLO (as well,haha).

As for the remaining of the month, I'm going back to Budapest on Sunday, and I'm not sure I'm playing because I'll probably be kinda tired after driving 300kms. Sure I'm gonna play from Monday though, so I think I'm gonna have 8 days to play the remaining of about 1300 tournaments. That's about 163 games average so it's not going to be easy but still, I want to do it. Hopefully I can win some money too if I manage to fix some leaks at the weekend:) Also, I was running horrible on final tables lately so things should change soon and I'm gonna crush these games;)

Hey guys,

September was a tough month both at the tables and emotionally. I don't want to write much about it, as you might know I lost my granny this month. It's not easy but we cannot do anything but get over it. That's all about it.

As for poker, I'm not sure whether I should be happy or not. I made some money and that's cool but I'm not delighted with my results at all to be honest.
I've played about 1600 sngs and won about $1400. Here's my graph:

I had lots of 5-10th finishes which is really frustrating. We have reviewed some of them with Matt and of course I still have mistakes but fortunately it was not only my fault that I couldn't make more money. One of the most important things I've learned at the last coaching session is:

"Don't settle for a good play, do the best fucking possible play!"

This is very obvious but I think we are tend to forget it in game and just do the standard play instead of thinking before clicking buttons. I'm thinking much more than before when I'm playing but I still have to focus on this.

There are still some hands when I just do something I did before Glitlr started to coach me and though usually those plays are not mistakes but I could choose better plays instead of them. So I think it's a long way to go yet.

Anyways I was playing some 18mans as well and I had a pretty good run in those games. I even had the chance to win some money on the Battle of Planets and there was a period when I thought I'm gonna have 562 points in the low orbit but I calculated something wrong. It really sucked because I thought I can have some extra money (I would have had a great chance to win the leaderboard with 562 points and that would've been $500 more) but no, I wasn't even close to it. Maybe it was HEM that tricked me into this, but whatever, that's life. After I realized I don't even have 500 points I wasn't motivated enough to play more 18mans and go for the high orbit.

In October I'm planning to play way more than I played in September or actually ever in my life. Hopefully it's gonna be a successful month. I really need some feedback about my improvement. Matt told me he expects a $2.5k month for me but I hope I can do even better. Of course I have to play a lot to be able to win more but I'm ready to do that... at least I think that.

Hey!

Finally I can write a positive post (even though Arsenal was fucked pretty hard today). I was running really good at the tables in the last few days and of course I'm happy about it. It's always a great feeling to make some money..you all know that.

I've changed some things though because I only was playing when I wanted to play. It wasn't cool because I tend to be unmotivated a lot of times....so I wasn't playing for a long time.
Anyways, I'm more than simply motivated now. It's a great feeling because now I think something's happening. Glitlr is a really good coach and because of him I love poker again.

I love it because I can do anything at the tables. He's trying to teach me that there aren't any rules in poker. We can do anything if there's a reason to do it. Now there are a lot of hands about I'm thinking about. Before I was instafolding/instashoving those hands and to be honest it's really boring when you "have to" shove..."have to" fold.
I'm not saying there aren't any hands when the standard play is the best. Of course there are lots of them. But when you start thinking about other possibilities it becomes much more interesting, and of course it's fun.

Matt also quoted from Barry Greenstein (I think it was him,lol). It was something like: "the best play against a particular opponent is always exploitable but it's the best play because he doesn't exploit it."

LOL I'm away from the point, I didn't even want to write about this stuff. So I've changed things and I'm forcing myself to play 100 games a day. The idea came from Puyan and thus far I'm enjoying it. I'm also trying to play on more tables than before. I'm opening up to 20 tables now and it seems to be okay. I'm having some problems when I have my deep runs at the same time. I don't really know how could I pay attention to 2-3 final tables and 2-3 more ITM-s simultaneously. Hopefully I'll get used to it.

I came back to Budapest in Tuesday and I was playing 100 sngs till Friday. Yesterday I played only 22 but Saturday is not the day of working. Neither Sunday is. So from Tuesday to Friday I've played 400 games + a bit yesterday, here are my UPSWING results:

Total winnings are a little less because sharkscope cannot track 3 rebuys exactly but it's still great. Hopefully tomorrow I'm not starting the week with a horrible downswing,lol.

Off poker stuff:

I was drinking with my poker mate "eduardhun" on Friday. It was fun but it could be more fun if I wasn't so fucking tired. We talked about poker and other things as well.

Yesterday I was drinking with my other friend who doesn't play poker,lol. It was fun as well. Today it wasn't so funny though because I had a terrible headache. Maybe I'm getting to be too old for drinking? Never mind. Today I was planning to watch Manchester Utd-Arsenal, but after 3-0 I thought it will be better to go to sleep. It was a great decision, because I'd have been on serious tilt if I had to watch all the 8 goals. Ridiculous.

Formula1 was fun as well.... could have been better though. I'm an Alonso fun, and I hate a lot of decisions that Ferrari team makes. My favorites don't make me happy nowadays, so I have to do it myself.

I just cannot find anything else to describe it. Every time I decide to grind more, grind a lot... I'm serious, every time I do that I start with a horrible downswing.

When I don't play for a long time then I open some MTSNGs I almost always manage to take town 1 or 2, but when I'm trying to grind harder and play a lot I have to run horrible. I just cannot understand why is that. Isn't hard work supposed to be rewarded?

Never mind, I'm gonna continue grinding harder till Glitlr decides to fire me. Seriously. Fuck this. I hate poker when it hates me too.

Long time no see

Hey everyone!

I haven't been blogging for a long time, not it's time to stop being quiet.

I spent almost all summer at home and it's not really interesting to be honest. There aren't any drunken nights, there shouldn't have been any special things but actually something happened.
My grandma is really sick and I had to carry her several times to the hospital (she's there now too). I cannot tell you in English what's her problem exactly but all the doctors said that it will be her last illness. She's 86-year old but still, it's a kinda hard thing when you realize that one of your close relatives won't be here for long now.

But this wasn't the fact I became really unmotivated. Actually I don't really know what was the problem. I just didn't feel the power. I didn't want to play (anymore). Also, I started to think about giving up this whole poker thing, because I felt I really suck.

It's a really strange thing when you lose your motivation. Even when I won some 180mans I didn't feel I'm good enough. I simply hated poker for a while. No, I don't know why. Instead of playing poker I was... and I'm still addicted again to hattrick. That's a cool game imo...:) Oh, and of course I played a lot with football manager as well, watched a lot of sports, etc... anything but poker.

Anyways, Entim stopped coaching me, and he stopped coaching for SNGProtege as well, because he's really busy with his poker career. I can understand his decision, and we'll be in touch despite he's not coaching me anymore. He's a really cool guy and I hope he's gonna win a lot of money in the future as well.

My "new" coach is Glitlr. What could I say? Awesome. Just some things about how I met him:
First I met him at the tables when I tried playing STT-s on Stars. I scoped him and realized he's really good and maybe a freaking robot because he had a lot of sng's already. Then I asked him some questions on 2+2... To be honest firstly I thought he's a French guy. I don't know why but this Glitlr name was so French for me...
Then he founded sngprotege and I joined.

He's the funniest coach I ever met. The sessions are always fun with him, and I think I improved a lot lately. Maybe not, but the fact I think it brought back my fucking motivation finally. :) Oh and I'm going back to Budapest in maximum 2 weeks so I'm planning to play much more... actually it's not gonna be really hard to play more than before.

As for motivation, I'm so sorry that Rex55 stopped blogging. Her posts were my support when I didn't know what to do. Shit happens.

Hmmm, I forgot what I wanted to write, so I'm gonna stop it right now. I'll be writing more in the future and I think I'm going back to twitter updates too.

I haven't played a lot in June (even my crappy gold star status is in serious trouble) but it's really hard I can say. Nothing really goes well these days. 180mans don't go really well but it's totally normal as far as I'm concerned. I'm planning to play more in the remaining of June though, because I don't want to lose my 3 stars even if that doesn't worth so much.

Anyways I'm still home so things aren't fun at all. Furthermore, I was informed that I have to spend the majority of July here as well because I have to help a lot. I obviously didn't plan to be home more than 2 weeks at summer but I cannot really avoid it.

On more thing for the negative side that I was in a checkup because I have blood pressure problems. I have to go tomorrow as well and it's the most boring thing I can imagine. I was there at about 8 AM and I arrived home at about 2:30 PM without any results...at least I had to wait a lot.

BUT I have about a week to win some money and maintain my GoldStar status, so no problem. I'm off to grind:)

I have to say June is not the month of grinding. I'm back home and the circumstances aren't the best here to play poker. I think I'll mention 2 things to let you know what I'm talking about.

1. Weather conditions.

It's a small village so when it's windy I could open a new betting site and offer bets in the following topic:

2. Non-weather related problems

Today:
6 AM: I went to bed late because I watched the NBA finals (it was a really cool match imo).
7:30 AM: "Dodi please wake up you gotta go to buy some stuffs" Coooool. At least I bought something that was not okay so I had to go back again. Shopping and driving 4 hours after 1.5hrs sleep is not really funny.

I could go back to sleep at 3PM and slept almost 3 hrs. Weeee. I'm tired. Can't play. To tell you the truth there are shittons of things I hate about being home. I can't do what I want whenever I want. I can't go out with my friends... I can't do anything.

Now I'm going back to bed.

As I mentioned my friend had his wedding more than a week ago and it was kinda funny. By the time I arrived at the party I was already drunk, so it didn't end well. I still don't really know how I came home and I think I'll never know that. Yeah, alcohol can do really funny things...

And of course it can do unfunny things as well but I wouldn't go that far. The most important is that I managed to wake up home (in the toilet actually) so somehow I did it.

There was another party on Friday that was really strange. The plan was to go in a pub, have a good talk and drinks. It didn't really work because my friend invited more than 10 people so we couldn't talk. After some drinks everyone wanted to share their opinions at the same time so it was impossible to communicate. I hoped for a smaller fellowship.
After the pub closed we went to another one and my friend fell asleep there. So standard. Then he woke up and wanted to go somewhere to dance so we left again. I didn't really want to leave that place because we chose 2 songs randomly and I wanted to listen them. Well, maybe next time.

So we set out for finding a place where we can show the world our dance knowledge. I usually hate dancing though but I actually wanted to. We walked for a while then got on the tram. The only problem was that the girls were complaining about someone who bothered a girl at the station. So we got off the tram at the next station and went back with the next tram. All of the boys were brave enough to do this because...you know...alcohol... It was a good idea to go back because the man probably would have killed that poor girl if we didn't do so.

I'm just kidding. By the time we arrived the girl disappeared. I don't mind though. I'm not a fan of dieing because of some random people who I don't even know. Furthermore that guy wasn't so underweight and you can never know what kinda stuff do they have. I mean I really hate unfair fights like:

So I was really happy that things turned out that way. The only problem was that some of us didn't want to go to the party after this interact. Yeah those ones were all of the girls for sure. We, guys, still wanted to go but unfortunately we couldn't convince them to come with us. Cool story. We decided to go home (to my friends house) and continue drinking there. After drinking a bottle of vodka we had to clean a lot because my friend threw up in the toilet. I wouldn't share the details but I can say I would have preferred dancing all night lol.

As for poker I gotta say I can't beat anything over $10s in 18 mans. It feels horrible but that's the truth. I have evidence:

So I can beat 18mans under $10 and I suck over it. It isn't very promising. I still don't know whether I should continue playing them after my contract is over or not. I mean if nothing's gonna change I'm kinda sure I won't really play these because it doesn't worth if I can't beat $15s. And now when the rake is even higher it's gonna be even harder to beat them. Well I still have some time to think it over but I have my plan if 18mans won't work... I'll play 180 mans (turbo and non-turbo as well) and 45 mans. At least I could win some money when I was playing them. Variance is really sick though but as I can see it's not that much better at the 18mans either.
I think I'm gonna ask Tim about this as as well since he's playing all kinda sngs what you can find in the lobby.

It's really hard to keep your motivation when things are going horrifuckingble. It feels like I'll never ever gonna win again whatever I do. I lost my confidence, I lost my motivation again, I lost everything that I need to become a good player. May is disgusting so far... Yeah, I have a lot of leaks but for fucks sake... at least I wanna win at the $5.43s...$5.43...well played stars. 5.43. Who was that fuckin moron who said: let it be 5.43?! ....10.85...... Ridiculous.

May so far:

Every fuckin time I'm trying to put in some volume I have to end up like this. It's getting to be really boring.
The worst thing is that I have the best coaches all over the world and what happens? Nothing. I'm still a loser. Great one dodi, never mind.I'd better believe in some afterlife stuff because this life is already fucked up. Positive thinking...my ass. My bad tho, I never could learn this positive thinking crap.

Okay, I should write something positive as well I suppose. My friend is going to have his wedding today. It has to be a good party, so it's the only thing that gives me hope to save this week. I don't mind if I don't have to end the party in the hospital with alcohol toxicity but I cannot promise anything. If my liver's good enough then I can survive everything. I'll do my best.

Back to this poker-called crap. I was thinking about the whole thing again. I'm always doing this when I can't win, when I'm losing every day and it's not a fun thing. I'm not sure I can win in the long run and it's a horrible feeling. Also, I was thinking about playing the 180mans but I cannot do that because I have to play still about 4k 18mans because of my sngprotege contract. Maybe it's not a bad thing, because this way I cannot run away from my problems, I have to solve them. I'm broken.

I also was thinking about my future after I finish my contract at sngprotege. I don't know what to do then. If entim cannot teach me how to crush these games I'm gonna hate 18mans. To tell you the truth I already hate them (at least now). I already played thousands of 18mans, and I'm a gigantic fuckin' fish. All time 18man graph (includes the ones before the coaching as well):

About the new structure

Well I've played some 18mans with the new structure and I wanted to write my thoughts about it. Maybe it's pointless because it seems that PS is going to change it back to the old one with an extra 150/300 level.

As for the current structure... I think it made game selection so fucking important that I cannot really find words. I mean: when there are only some regs the new structure is awesome because weaker players have more time to spew their chips away and they usually do that so you can reach the bubble with a kinda cool stack and blinds are usually not so high...

The problem is when there are more regulars because they "know" how to play early and then late game sucks because blinds are insanely high when you reach 6-7 players... I'm sure you can have edge tho, but I'm not good at at all when I have to change to monkey-shoving mode...I have the biggest leaks there so I don't like it...

On the other hand... I have the possibility now to practice monkey mode so I might as well be happy about the changes,hehe.

I really wonder what's gonna happen but I don't really care now... If they gonna keep the new structure then I have no choice: I have to adjust and learn how to beat games. Anyways, there are even more crazy bubbles right now and it's really interesting...oh and sometimes frustrating.

Yeah we knew it for a long time...Pokerstars did it today. They changed the buy in and blind structure in sng-s, and to tell you the truth I'm really disappointed.

We had $15+1 ...now we have $10.85 and $20+1.7

I kinda hate the new blind structure as well...Well actually I don't know anything about that because I haven't played yet, but it's definitely not "love at first sight".

Personally, I think these changes are only good above $60 sng-s, and probably I'll never reach that limit. Cool story. Thanks stars.

Oh well, this could have been a better month.:) I moved up to the $16 18mans and to tell the truth I hoped it is going to be better, but never mind, new month->new goals->new hopes.
Entimistic told me I'm good enough to beat $16s, so I was playing only those and didn't really play any $6.5s lately. I have to say I'm not really used to the variance yet though. It's hard to sit back and play more when I lose $3-4-500 in a session.

At least I can be sure it wasn't the best month in the year:) No, it's not because I'm so confident that I'm gonna have better months in poker, but March was better, so it's already sure that April sucks.

Easter weekend

Since I'm not religious at all, I wouldn't say anything about it...Happy Easter though.

Hockey: Hungary-Italy 3-4

There were a lot of sport events in Hungary at the weekend though, so it wasn't boring at all. Fistly, I'd like to start with the Ice Hockey World Championship where we really had the chance to go back to the "A pool".

In the final we had to play against Italy. I'm not really into Hockey but it was a fantastic match and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Yeah we missed our chance to win but I have to say I'm happy with this result, because the team was playing well and I could see they really-really wanted it. GG guys.

Handball: Hungary-Brazil 25-32

Sunday was much worse. We had a friendly match against Brazil and I'm extremely disappointed now. The girls were playing so bad I couldn't believe. I hope we'll be better against Germany because we simply have to if we want to play in the World Championship.... We can say no problem, it was only a friendly match but I don't think it's not a problem. If we lose against Brazil then everyone should think about it deeply and try to draw a conclusion. At least our experts say we don't have to worry about this match,lol.
It's bad because one of my favorite sports is handball for sure. I'm always optimistic though when it's about handball so we'll see, things might get better. Oh and we lost in Hungary after 5 years.

Rangers-Celtic

After this match I decided to watch Rangers-Celtic because the championship is more than exciting there now and this match was something like a championship final. The match was very good, I enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately there wasn't any goals because Samaras missed the penalty and Rangers missed some chances as well, but I don't really mind because it's gonna be even more interesting till the end of the championship this way.

Other stuff

As for poker... yeah I should play right now... It's 9:28 PM but I have some administration problem with sngprotege and I'm waiting for glitlrs answer. What a cool excuse. To tell the truth I'm fuckin' lazy but I think I'm gonna play when my parents are going to sleep though. I don't really like playing if they're awake because they can hurt my sessions with a lot of different stuffs. I might as well watch a film till then to fill my time.

Red and Black Friday

It was a very colorful Friday I have to say. I was really shocked when I arrived from the party and read the news about FBI and its disgusting action. I cross my fingers for you all, hopefully things will change soon.
It is an interesting situation though because games seems to be easier without US players but there are a lot of negative things on the other side, so I cannot be happy at all.

The most important is that it happened in the US, so neither of us can be sure that it won't happen somewhere else as well. I'm very afraid of this stuff, but I cannot do anything about it, so we'll see what happens.
Anyways, I have a lot of new poker mates from the US so I kinda worried about them all.

Nothing more to say about it, there were a lot of posts in this topic so I can't change the world.

Red part:

Friday was party day. I was drinking with my friends in their home. It can be funny when 4-5 people starts to drink 2 bottle of vodka, a bottle of jager and some other kind of alcohol. Don't really understand after we killed our Jager bro. After it we went to the subway station because some other friends were coming and we wanted to PARTY!:)

The only problem is that there are 2 escalators at a subway station. Basically one of them goes downstairs and the other one upstairs. The problem is that I really like to challenge myself, especially when I'm a little bit drunk. It's very easy to go down if you're choosing the right direction. I wanted to run down where common men would go up,lol. Well I didn't win this fight. I fell down and my hand get caught in the escalator.
I told my friend to stop the stuff...haha he thought I was kidding at the first time, so I had to try it again. After he stopped the escalator I somehow managed to make my hand free. It wasn't the nicest thing I've ever seen, but I didn't really care since I was too drunk. Oh yeah, I gave the red part name because of my blood.

The subway stuff called the ambulance and they arrived soon. We went to the hospital (omg finally I was in a car like that), where they examined me and did what they had to do. After it we went to a pub, and then to another pub where we were dancing a lot and hell yeah, it was really cool. I was wearing the same clothes during the party, so it was a little bit weird I suppose.

I think I'm gonna update some pictures of my clothes and probably about my hand as well, but maybe that's too disgusting to post here. Later. Too lazy to do anything now.

Long story

A lot of things happened since my last post so it might be a little longer than usually.

First of all, I'd like to write something about my off-poker life, because I've had a great weekend with my friend, Erika. She arrived on Friday I went to the station to pick up her. I've met my ex-classmate there as well, since he was waiting for Erika too. Then we went to meet our 4th ex-classmate, Marci. Haha, he wanted to go home at 6pm, but we managed to let him stay one more night. My primal plan was to go to the cinema, but this changed the whole thing, because I realized it'll be better to drink at home, and have a nice talk with them.

On Saturday I even went for a walk! It's really unusual, but it was worth a try. Actually I hate walking, but I can't say I regret this one, because it was cool. We walked over a bridge and by luck I knew a pub there, lol. I really had to drink some beer. There was a guy there (hmm, I'd better say old man) who was the funniest person I've ever seen in a pub...or close to it.

I wanted to write a lot about this weekend but somehow I forgot everything, so that's all about it. The point is that it was great.

As for poker...

I have to say I had a really good March. I finally started to beat these 18mans, and tho I'm sure I've had an upswing as well I'm really happy about it.

In April I'm playing the $6.5s and $16s mixed. I was sooo waiting for this. Finally I can move up. It wasn't easy, and it won't be easy but I'll try to do my best. Still have a lot of things to learn, but with these guys I can do everything.;)

The field on the 16s seems much stronger almost always, there are a lot of good regulars, so I'll have to figure out how to beat them. Hopefully it won't cost too much.

Anyways, I'm in love with Kristen Stewart. I already watched a lot of movies in which she plays and I have to say she's aaaaaaaaaaaaawesome! Best actress ever! If anyone wants to argue with this statement, please don't do it. It's my firm belief.

I wanted to write a lot more since I was talking about Kristen I forgot everything else:D:D:D

Yesterday I wasn't playing a lot (only 60 sng-s), since I thought I have to watch the Hungary-Netherlands soccer match on TV. Actually we played extremely well for about 7-8 minutes. I even could imagine we can make a fantastic surprise today. Well after it there was a terrible mistake in our defense and after it we couldn't really find the way back from losing this match. It was kinda humiliating at the end of the match. Hungary-Netherlands 0-4.
Four. Yes. At home. I think we should not dream about qualifying to any of the European Championship anymore.

I went to bed early because tomorrow morning was FORMULA1 TIIIIIME again! Wow, I cannot express how I waited for this day yet! Oh well, and then I had to realize that this Vettel guy is something like unbeatable, and since I'm a big fan of Alonso, this wasn't that good to see. Never mind, the season is just started so I can still be optimistic about this year.

As for the weekend plans, I don't know what's today's schedule going to be, because I probably meet one of my best friends today...actually I think I can say she's my best friend but I won't say that because I don't have rankings on it. The point is that I can't wait to see her again because it's been a long we met last time.

From tomorrow it's going to be a hard grind tho, so I think it's not a problem to pass a day. Anyways, yesterday I found myself in a very tricky situation. I was playing 18 mans and I noticed that I'm just clicking buttons and don't really think about the situations. I couldn't focus on the game. I decided to use youtube to change it. Typed "motivational song" in the box, and everything changed. I found this wonderful, amazing, great song which helped me a lot. Enjoy:

I'm playing only the MiniFTOPS Event 25 right now, so I can drop some lines...So I'm home atm because it's gonna be a national holiday in Hungary tomorrow. It's harder than I remembered.

8:40am:
My mother waked me up because the fridge went wrong and I had to help for the mechanic. Weeeee. I'm happy.

Then I had to repair my father's computer because the switch didn't work. I killed another computer to repair this, but that wasn't used anyways so who cares?

My car didn't think he should start when I wanted it, so it was a cool thing again. Awesome day.

In the afternoon I thought I'll sleep a little bit, because I was fucking tired. Yes. A little bit. About 10 minutes later my mum asked my help again because the mechanic returned with the fridge. Yes I was really happy.

Hey everyone

I have to say it was a great period. Really. I've had a really good mini coaching session with Glitlr and that was extremely useful imo. After it I had a great upswing, so his name should really be changed to GlitSR now. Anyways, here's the graph since the coaching started with sngprotege:

I still have a lot of mistakes so I'm still struggling in the $6,5s. I hoped I can leave this limit in some weeks, but I couldn't. It's my fault, I didn't work enough on my game. Fuck me.
I don't give up though, I think my game is better and better, it's going slower than I expected, but if I can beat these games slowly but surely then I do not really mind.

I was playing some HU cash game as well lately. That game is awesome. I managed to win some money when I started playing it, then I lost almost all of it, but I still have to say it's awesome because it really is. You have to think a lot in almost all hands, and you cannot play ABC poker there at all. It's the most interesting poker stuff I've ever played. I think I'm gonna play sometimes, but I'm not planning this to be my main poker area.

The best thing not poker-related though. Avril's new album is HERE! I think it's the best album I've ever heard, but I cannot really be objective because I love her.

I've a lot of things to do by the way in March. There's much room for improvement in 18mans, and I also wanna play some 90mans on FTP, since I still have some bonus there. It's not funny though, because it seems I can beat 90mans, and then I spew my winnings on MTT-s. Well that's the ugliest type of poker ever. Variance will simply fuck my life there so I shouldn't play them anymore. It's tilting.

So I'll have some crazy weeks I think, but today we'll drinking with my father, so I don't think I'm gonna play. It would be a bad idea.

Yeah, I haven't written anything for a while, and I won't a lot now either, but I'm still alive,lol.
Still playing the 18mans on PS, and playing STTs on FTP currently because I have a bonus there now. Weee.

On the first day of the month I was playing MTTs as well, and I have to say full tilt hates me. I won't play anything bigger than 18mans in this month, it's 100%.

Oh, and I love Miley.

Life's not always easy

Lately I couldn't really win anything. To tell you the truth I preferred losing instead of winning. These are really hard days of my life, because I'm trying to quit smoking, I'm losing money and I'm really-really irritable.
No, It wasn't enough that I was running/playing bad, I also had internet connection problems during sessions. It's kinda frustrating when you're 12tabling (turbo sng-s) and your internet says: goodbye bro, see you in an hour.

I almost went to buy some cigarettes, but I was strong enough not to do it. Yay! I think I'm not gonna play (a lot) this weekend because I'm at home with the family, and maybe I need 1-2 days to relax. Today we're going to celebrate my sister's and his husband's birthday. Their birthday is on the same day, lol.

Anyways, I'm trying to learn new things about 18man sng-s and I think it'll be good, but I need some time to be good. That's why I'm thinking about whether to find a job or not.
I could apply for a job on a sport-site but I'm not sure I could work 8 hours a day and this would be a damage for my poker-career too, but it would be safer than just playing poker. Maybe I give myself another 2 poker months and if I can't make money, than I'll stop it and go to work.

As for the school, I don't think I'll finish it. I don't care about anything we're learning about, and I don't want a useless paper...not to mention: I don't want to work something I don't like.

So yes, life's hard sometimes, and we always have to make decisions. Hopefully I can make the right ones.

This quotation is the best I've ever read. Ever. I kinda feel I managed to decide what I want finally. I'm the member of sngprotege now and my coaches are really-really cool, and I feel I can do very well in these games soon. I really take this seriously now, it's enough to mention that I always mark questionable hands, and then post them on our private forum.

Finally we had our first coaching session with entim as well, and all I can say is that it was awesome. We found a lot of leaks in my game, but I think it's totally normal yet, since I haven't been playing sng-s lately and anyway... I never ever was a very good 18man sng player before (and I'm not yet...I mean: !YET!).

I've learned a lot of new things already and it's such a good feeling that I cannot tell you. There are a lot of new moves I've installed to my game, even some that I thought "it's fucking bad, wtf". No problem, we always should improve, and here I can do that.

So I decided to stop playing cash games again, since the only reasons I was playing them were:

Money
Variance of MTTs
I wasn't good at SNG-s

I think I can do better in sng-s now that I have coaches, and I realized these games are more interesting than I thought. There are more options than I ever imagined, so yeah, these games are really cool.

My 2011 goals changed a bit too... I want to achieve supernova vip level on Stars, and I'll be playing sngs on ipoker as well because there is a very good rake race there. It's gonna be a really tough year I know, but I also know I can do it if I really want.

2011 project

Since I have some time because of X-mas, I can do this post now between two meals. I've been thinking a lot about my plans, about what should and what shouldn't I do and I think I'm ready with my 2011 project. I was thinking about my all-time problem that I cannot really choose between cash games and tournaments. It's cool, because I don't really wanna play any MTT-s in the near future. 2010 was a very tough year. I've played a lot of MTT-s and I was totally fucked although I had the possibility to work with my number 1 icon "Belabacsi". He taught me a lot of stuff, and I still couldn't beat these donkaments, so it was an extremelly big blow for me.

But the truth is that I can't really say I don't wanna play sng-s when I have the opportunity to learn from players who I really admire. So I will not change my pokerlife and I'm gonna play both cash games and sngs. The only thing I can say is that I'm not gonna drink as much as in 2010 so I'll have much more time to learn and play. Really. I'll have a lot of off-poker stuff as well, but I think I can handle it.

Sorry, there was a break while writing my post and now I'm totally drunk. Never mind, I'm still trying to write it, and I hope you can understand it. Soooooo.... I meant I'll play both cg and sng-s, and it's because I can learn a lot from people who are really gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood (Glitlr and Entim). Hopefully it'll be a very good stuff for both parties.

Another thing is that I should NOT drink and have as much parties as I had before, so I really have to change this part of me. Hopefully it makes sense. I wasted so much fucking time with this stuff that I can't really expressssss. I'm gonna change. I promise. Lol, it sounds really funny when I'm drunk. Fucking funny.

Another thing is that I HAVE TO lose weight. A lot. Im not gonna say numbers because I dunno what's the difference between kg and I dunno wtf do u use in the US...I'm going to search it tomorrow... lol....or not.
I wanted to write a lot of stuff, but I can't remember now. Never mind. Never happened.

December is not really that kind to me as I expected, and that's the best I can tell about it till now. I'm kinda running badly in poker, and it's not too fair because I'm working a lot lately. Actually I'm not running that bad, but I'm breakeven and that's not my goal, it could be worse though, so I don't dare to complain anymore.

My days are not really interesting since I came home. I wake up in the morning, after it I play 1-2 hours, lunch, sleep a bit, play, dinner, watching tv and then I play again from 10PM to about 3-4AM. It's not easy but I have to do it, because I really need my bankroll to be built up again.

I also have to think about my next-year plans. I don't really know what to do because I wanna play cash games, but I have the opportunity to learn from sng pros, so it's gonna be a hard decision...I think. One thing is sure, I'm going to give myself time to make the correct decision, because it's a really important thing, that will determine 2011.

The other important decision is going to be to choose the site I wanna play at. Merge is not bad, but there are some things that disturb me a lot. Examples: there aren't enough players during the day, so I have to play at night. A nice solution would be to move to the US, but I cannot afford it:)
Another problem is that HM can't import all hands, so it's impossible to see my all-time results. I know it's a less-important stuff, but I really like to see my graphs. It's something like a feedback, so I really miss my exact results. I was thinking about moving to stars, but I think the majority of the players are better there than the average, and I don't know if I could get an acceptable RB on NL50...maybe NL100 later, because I can't play on 1020132012023 tables sh.

So I have about 8 days left from 2010. I have to play about 19k more hands, so it's gonna be a tough one. I don't really wanna play during Xmas, so today is gonna be a mega grind time, I'm planning to play at least 5k hands. Hopefully I also can make some money, because it'd be good for my confidence as well.

Oh yeah, I read 2 great articles on leggopoker yesterday. Dunno if you have an account there or not but if you haven't read them yet, I strongly recommend to do it:

That's the sound of my life running out.
Yeah I think it was the most important sentence in Dexter so far, and if you think about it, you have to agree with me. You really have to think about your life sometimes, because if you don't, then things will overcome and you will not be able to handle them anymore.

That's what I really have to do...think about everything I don't like about my life, and find everything I'm glad for. I really hope I can express my thoughts in English as well...all I can do is to try it. It was surprising though that a sentence can be so thought-provoking.

I don't have any time to waste. Nobody has, because life's too short to waste any time. We really have to do things that we want to, because we can never know whether we'll have the possibility to do it later or not. It's an extremely hard thing to remember and to do because we're willing to say 'I'll do it later'.

So what should I do? What am I doing wrong in my life? Why am I doing it wrong? What should I change to make it right?
Since I'm so lazy, I don't play as much as I should. Actually I haven't played a hand over the last 5 days, and it's not good. Especially not, when I have to play 40k hands at least if I don't wanna lose $200. But it's not about this. It's about my life. I don't know how long can I play online poker in Hungary... yes, they want to rule this here as well. If something bad happens, then I really have to move abroad.... well I only have to do this if I want to be a poker player, and yes...I want to be a poker player!
So why am I wasting my time? Why am I NOT playing enough? Why am I not motivated?

The answer is pretty simple: it's easier to do nothing than to do anything. Of course it's easier. But it's not that useful. I think I really have to change my personality if I wanna be successful in life. Everyone wants to be, but not everyone is willing to do something to give it a chance. Success is not going to happen without work...hard work.

This is what I am GOING TO do! I am going to learn...play...win...and hell yes, I am going to take it!

November review

Hey!

November was definitely the most extreme month in 2010. There were a lot of good and bad things, but on the whole it was good. In this post I'm going to write a bit about poker, life stuff, and who knows? We'll see:)

Poker

It wasn't bad. I finally watched some videos on leggopoker, which is great I think. I really love steel108's videos. He's explaining every questionable situations, and yes... still I can understand it. I'm sure I'm gonna watch all his videos.
My original plan was to play 50k hands in November, of course I couldn't do it. I always chose other stuff so I only played about 30k hands, and I won about 22 buy ins (Unfortunately I cannot show my graph because it's useless, since my dear Merge network doesn't import a lot of hands). I think it's not bad, since this was my first month at the cash tables after playing MTT-s for a long time.
So I'm not happy, because I didn't do what I wanted to, but I'm happy, because I played solid, and I think I can beat this limit.

In December I want to play 50k hands as well, but it's kinda impossible. The problem is that it's Budapest Poker Open time now, and I think I'm also gonna play some live cash if there's gonna be good tables (I mean: not extremely high limits), and yeah... Christmas, New Years Eve, so I don't think I can do it, but I'm gonna try it. Maybe I should play instead of drinking.

Life:

This was crazy. I had a lot of fun, but I had an accident as well, so this wasn't perfect. I'm not gonna write more about it, since I've done it before.
I'm happy though. I really enjoyed my birthday party, and we were having some good parties as well. I've also met some poker players I've been skyping with, so it was great. I've also met some new people who're cool too... it's always a good thing to meet new people.

I also have a new favourite actress. She's the best I've ever seen. I dunno why I mentioned it, but who cares?:) She's her:

I also tried to quit smoking. I failed the first time when we went out to drink...and then I failed the second time too, because I've had a bad run, and then the third time as well... because I wanted to smoke. Maybe I'm gonna put this project into my new years pledge (I dunno whether this sentence is correct or not though).

Hey!

Last week was extremely busy. I had to do a lot of things, it's enough to mention the car, poker and school...and of course there were some parties as well. The car is now at the car mechanics, and seems like it's gonna be kinda expensive to repair everything. I expect it to be more than $500, but that's life, I can do nothing about it, you know I cannot really drive a crashed stuff, so it's a must thing to pay for my mistake. It's like poker. :)

As for poker, I didn't play as much as I should have, but now I have to play more in the next few days, because I still have some chance to win a rake race. It wasn't very easy to grind in the past few days, because I didn't really want to do it, but luckily it's just till I start to play...when I'm at the tables I usually play my A game, so I feel good about that.
I made some changes in my game as well. I used to raise a standard 3x on the button, now I cut it down to about 2,5bb-s, and I think it's great. It's much more cheaper to cbet, and barrel this way. I really needed to do it because I'm something like a maniac if I enter a pot:) I mean I'm willing to 2 and 3barrel in a lot of pots (maybe more willing to than I should), so I think I can save a lot of money if I raise less preflop.

The games here are not very hard, I think I have edge on most of the regulars as well, but I should analyse my game mooooore... I'm so fucking lazy. Dunno why, but it's a really bad thing, and I really have to change it if I wanna make an improvement.

School... still don't like it. I should learn a lot, but no way.:)

Aaaaand... only 16 hours till the next X-factor show. I hope my favorite will do her best.

Finally: I set up a new goal for the next 3 days. I have to play 10k hands, and we'll see:) Hope I can win some money, 'couse I really need it now:)

I simply love her. I cannot find words even in Hungarian to describe it, because it's sooo wonderful...ahh never mind. Weee finally managed to embed the vid, weeeeeeee:)

Okay another month is over, and things gonna change in my life so I write something about it. Till now I have been playing MTT's, but now I have to stop it. I'm losing money, and I cannot afford it anymore. It's kinda sad, because on of the best players in the world tried to teach me, but I failed. Variance killed me. Btw, he's the most understanding man I've ever known. Really. He wished me good luck for the future, and told me to tell him if we can start again this. Unbelievable, that he still cares about me.

I decided to play cg again, and I'm obviously gonna grind a lot, because I want to and I am going to be a winning player. I'm sure I can do it. The problem was that I could not do anything with variance, and I could not believe I can win. Because of this it was inevitable to lose, without confidence there's no chance to beat MTT-s or any other form of poker. I feel more comfortable when sitting down to the cash game tables, so I need to do this.
I don't want to give up MTT-s...but I need a break. Maybe a long break. And of course I need money, so I can't wait anymore to win something big.

I'm starting at NL50, maximum 6 tabling. This is the game where I can show a constant profit (I hope at least). I'm gonna post hands on 2+2, and watch videos from LeggoPoker... hard work going to pay off.

I also was thinking about school. I really hate it, and I can't imagine to work anything that is connected to this stuff. I wanna stop it. Seriously. Maybe I'll tell my parents that I want to take a break... I wonder what would they say. Of course they wouldn't be happy. But if I don't like what I'm doing I think there's no point to finish it.

I think I wanted to write about a lot of things, but I forgot everything. Hm, no problem. Next time.

Tough day

Yesterday I just started playing poker, when my friend, Erica asked me what will I do at about 4:30 pm.
-What will I do?
-You're gonna come with me to drink something
-Ok.
So I just finished registering, and went out to drink.

She came with 3 of her friends, and they were really cool... I mean when they finished talking about school. I hate when I have to hear about it during I'm getting drunk. Well, actually I hate to hear about school all the time.
So they wanted to go because one of them had to learn for an exam, and the other 2 wanted to go shopping. Who can understand girls? I'm not. But I can understand myself, and I had a kinda cool plan which was simple. I always bought another drinks for them, so they couldn't leave.

It was great (at least I think so)... then Ericas boyfriend arrived with another friend of ours. We continued drinking, and few hours later we left the boozer...went to a shop, and I bought a really cheap drink... It was so redumbdant that I cannot even find words for it. Of course we drank it all, and then.... I cant remember. The only problem is that today I had a performance in school, and I shouldn't :

even woke up

So I woke up at 11:10 am, and I had 30 minutes to be in the school. It's cool, because it takes more than 40 mins to go there with public transport... I had to go with car, and of course I still didnt arrive in time.
Never mind, there were bigger problems. I was told that I managed to broke the fucking glass which was in the fridge. Great.... then I was running downstairs, and one of the neighbours cought me and asked if we are the students or not. Yes, we unfortunatelly are the students mr. old man...I thought. He was complaining about the noise we made when we arrived home at night...happens bro:)
So, after school, I just arrived home, opened the fridge, and a plate fell out and .... yes... gravity+plate=broken plate= I had to clean up the fucking mess.

After these stuffs I probably shouldn't play today, but I did, and of course I won a lot of money. Just kidding, I lost about $300. Cool. By the way, I watched a film, and if you haven't seen it yet, I can recommend it:

The beginning here

Hey:)

I've decided to write an english blog again, regardless of the number of the readers...maybe nobody's gonna read it, but no problem, still good to write my thoughts in a English... before I completely forget it.
I have a friendly bet with Rex55, the problem is that if I'd lose that bet, I have to write an english blog... well now I'm starting it, so I don't really know what I'm gonna do if I lose:)

I'm a poker player and a student from Hungary... As for poker: I play mostly MTT-s, and especially multi-table sng-s. But I have a permanent problem... I always going back to cash game (yeah, I was thinking about it lately too, but now I managed to stand against it).

I decided to make a bankroll buliding challange too. I started from $200, standing at about $290 not. I really wonder how much can I win untill the end of 2010.

As for my life: it's not very exciting usually. I play a lot of poker, which means that I cannot go out all the time. Of course there are periods when we're going to a lot of parties with my friends, but that's not my average day... right now...
I'm going to write anything that I found interesting, so we'll see what happens.:)
